If you are not familiar with SSEMC, it is comprised of the thirteen southeastern states and several other states that have become a part of this group. The delegates are the people that write the specifications and/or purchase the equipment.
Our mission is to encourage information exchange and cooperation between state transportation equipment managers to provide and manage cost effective, safe, quality vehicles, trucks, light equipment, and heavy equipment that meet the users needs to build and maintain transportation assets
The SSEMC group is directly affiliated with the Equipment Focus Group of the AASHTO Subcommittee on Maintenance and the Transportation Research Board, AHD60 Maintenance Equipment Committee. Several members of our group participate with these associations and chair both sub-committees.
